Philips has identified a potential safety problem that could affect Philips Cafe Gourmet Coffee machines that were produced between March 2012 and June 2013. As we well-being of our customers is a very important vmc issue, we have decided to launch a voluntary recall of the affected coffee machines.
In the very rare cases in which there is an insulation failure, these devices could cause an electric shock in the metal bracket. It does not affect any other Philips Coffee Machines.
Please vmc unplug vmc the power cord of your device from the wall outlet, remove the glass jug and check the nameplate on the bottom of the device. If there is a HD5405, please check the week of production (eg in 1227 - the first two numbers indicate the year, the last two digits of the calendar week). vmc
If you have a Philips Cafe Gourmet Coffee vmc with model number HD 5405 and a week of production from 1212 to 1323 have, it is recommended not to use the coffee machine from now on. All other Philips Cafe Gourmet Coffee machines (including vmc HD 5405 with other weeks of production, as well as HD 5412, HD 5410, HD 5407, HD 5400) are not affected vmc by the voluntary recall and can still be used as usual.
