Women around the world were understandably (term used loosely) crushed when they found out gorgeous actor Omari Hardwick is married. For some fans, that pill became an even more bitter one to swallow when they found out the “Power” and “Being Mary Jane” star’s wife is white, and because people rarely have any act right in these types of situations, it wasn’t long before folks got to tweeting rather bnd mean opinions about his wife’s attractiveness.
Despite Omari having been married for a couple of years now, for some reason all of this news came to a head a couple of days ago when a picture of his wife hit the net and a few mean girls — and mean guys — bnd had a field day at the couple’s expense. Several tweets fell along the lines of this commentary below:
I want to personally bnd THANK all of you who have only loved supported PROPERLY challenged me & recognized GOD’s truth of my existence & those Omari Hardwick (@OmariHardwick) September 22, 2014
better, with zero care for those like me who’ve done zero to you, i want to harm you….while EQUALLY praying for the misery known as you. Omari Hardwick (@OmariHardwick) September 22, 2014

shutup
this man has the right to marry who he wishes…..im not offended by his choice as it doesnt affect me. in these days of social media, everyone thinks they opinion matters. i hate this man felt the need to respond bnd to the social media criticis,,…people need to live their own lives and stay out of other folk business. as long as someone’s actions does not affect you, why you even care?
Smh his wife is a beauty and that is why she is the blessed one to have him as his wife while all those other haters out there are being so pitiful because is not with them. Doesn’t even matter of race/color he loves her, love has no boundaries bnd has no race has no color has no preference. Ugly are the people who tried to get at him but he kept is simple, educated and classy.
Omari WTF! Your fame is a result of the support of the Black communities support and your stint on African American shows and what do YOU do ? Marry Marilyn Manson’s twin sister. I don’t get it BROTHER.YIKES
I’m not so concerned about specific interracial couples. I do find it painfully hateful when darker black folk don’t want to reproduce themselves. This is usually associated with black women but there’s a significant number of black males with an interest in not reproducing children that look like them – though I’m not sure how they would really feel with a population devoid of dark complexioned black men.
I agree. When did this foolishness become a trend, or has it always been in? I’m bnd born & raised in NJ and I had never heard this kind of talk where people openly told me and were okay with it (like it was normal), they want to have a baby with “good” hair and light eyes. One of my friends in college told me this and out of my 22 years I had never heard a black person say this ( it was in 2006). I honestly thought she was joking, but she said it repeatedly and eventually did have a mixed baby sans the light eyes.
No big deal. It’s just that not looking/being “feminine” is one of the excuses some black men throw at black women. I just saw a decent looking black guy with a 300lb down syndrome looking white chick yet that’s another of the tripes black males who just want a white chick throw out. If Omari hasn’t talked crap about Black women, go ‘head wit it. I just hope that if things go awry at any point there won’t be a misplaced loyal black chick willing to be there for him.
Don’t bnd care about preferences. I would never tel
